Quick Start
This guide walks you through the essential steps to start using QsnDEX, from setting up your wallet to executing your first swap.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- A compatible browser wallet — MetaMask or Rabby is recommended. See Wallet Setup for detailed instructions.
- ETH on a supported chain — You will need ETH on either Taiko Mainnet or Arbitrum One to pay for gas fees and to trade. See Supported Chains for the full list.
Connect Your Wallet
QsnDEX uses RainbowKit to provide a seamless wallet connection experience.
- Navigate to the QsnDEX application in your browser.
- Click the Connect Wallet button in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select your wallet provider from the modal (MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect, or another supported option).
- Approve the connection request in your wallet when prompted.
- Once connected, your wallet address and balance will appear in the header.
Bridge ETH to Taiko
If your ETH is on Ethereum mainnet and you want to trade on Taiko, you will need to bridge your funds first.
- Visit the official Taiko Bridge.
- Connect your wallet on the bridge interface.
- Select Ethereum as the source chain and Taiko as the destination chain.
- Enter the amount of ETH you wish to bridge.
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- Wait for the bridging process to complete. This typically takes a few minutes depending on network conditions.
Once the bridge transaction is finalized, your ETH will be available on Taiko Mainnet and ready to use on QsnDEX.
Make Your First Swap
Follow these steps to execute a token swap on QsnDEX:
- Open the Swap page from the main navigation.
- Ensure you are connected to the correct chain using the chain switcher dropdown in the header.
- In the From field, select the token you want to sell and enter the amount.
- In the To field, select the token you want to receive. The estimated output amount will be calculated automatically.
- Review the swap details, including the exchange rate, price impact, and minimum amount received.
- Click Swap to initiate the transaction.
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on-chain. A confirmation notification will appear once the swap is complete.
If this is your first time swapping a particular token, you may need to approve the token for spending before the swap can proceed. The interface will prompt you for this approval automatically.
Add Liquidity
Providing liquidity allows you to earn fees from trades that pass through the pool.
- Navigate to the Pool or Liquidity section of the application.
- Select the token pair you want to provide liquidity for.
- Enter the amounts for each token in the pair. The interface will suggest a balanced ratio based on current pool prices.
- Review the pool share and estimated fee earnings.
- Click Add Liquidity and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- Once confirmed, you will receive LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens representing your share of the pool.
Keep in mind that providing liquidity carries the risk of impermanent loss, which occurs when the relative price of the paired tokens changes after you deposit. Review the pool details carefully before committing funds.
